I ALMOST got another true 10lb walleye, but I was 2 ounces short. However, I am not complaining. This was on the newest spot that Tom and I found. This spot has a piece of structure that extends all the way to the deep water. It also happens to be connected to a very deep hole that tops out at around 38 feet. That depth is considerably deep for pool two.

This fish was 29 inches and I caught right after the sun set. Although this year has not been terribly great compared to the last 13 years down there for me, it has produced some very nice catches. I could never complain about the moving water of the Mississippi that I love so much. I am so fortunate to have such a walleye system so close.
