Kevin is a co-worker of mine and is a student of mine. He has come a long way since I first hired him at Blue Ribbon Bait. I really thought he had a great attitude towards fishing so I gave him the gift of all gifts. The gift I gave him was "SPOONPLUGGING-YOUR GUIDE TO LUNKER CATCHES" that was written by E.L. “Buck” Perry. He quickly began studying this book, which contains all the truths to fishing. He has come a long way in only a few years.

Kevin caught this fish while we were fishing a productive wing dam in St. Paul Park on the Mississippi River. He caught the fish while casting crosscurrent on the piece of structure. I figure the fish was in about 8 feet of water when it bit Kevin’s line. This was the first time Kevin had been down to the Mississippi with me. He definitely started his Mississippi river future with a bang.
