Tom Knutson is an exceptionally hard working guy. He has two children, works 50 hours a week, and he still finds time to fish with me at least once a week. He has many of the ingredients that make up what I would call a good fisherman. Tom brings a great work ethic with him when he fishes with me. This is in part why I like fishing with him the most. We click very well together. He never complains and is always eager to move and learn something new. We make the best team. Tom has logged more hours on the water with me than anybody.

Tom recently caught this walleye with me on the Mississippi. Tom suggested for us to try an area that I had not checked this year and it paid off. He only made two casts and he caught this nice fish. We caught six more in a row on this particular piece of structure. Tom caught this fish in about 8 feet of water. We were anchored casting down river bringing our baits back against the current. It turns out that this spot was only hot for about a week. I have checked in the last couple of days with my uncle Curt Catallo and we determined the fish have stopped using it. However, I will continue to check Tom’s spot out every time I am near it.
