To write about Charlie Covert I would need much more than a couple of paragraphs under this section of my site. In fact, just to write about how much he has helped me throughout my life would be enough to create a novel. We have been best friends since 3rd grade and we have been through a lot together. Charlie used to fish for tiger muskies with me everyday in junior high school. BUT, none of the fish he caught is his life can hold up to this HAWG.

This monster musky was caught on a white inhaler bucktail. We were fishing under rainy conditions that seemed to draw the big muskies up from the deep water. 20 minutes before Charlie’s musky hit, I caught a 49 inch musky on the same lure. So, to say this was the best 20 minutes of our long friendship together would be an understatement. It is so rare to have the stars line up for two people in the same day. Although my musky was big, it was more gratifying for me to net Charlie’s fish for him. It was the least I could do after all he has done for me in my life.
