This fish was very unique because of when I caught it. The fish was caught under moonlight. I could not believe that I caught it under such bright conditions. I had about a 90% moon phase that lit up the water. This is so significant because I rarely ever get a musky to bite under these conditions. I often fantasize that a musky is like a wolf, but in the regard of moonlight feeding they have tended to be different from one another. However, when there are OVERCAST conditions during a high moon phase a fisherman can have the best luck for muskies. But on this night, there was not a cloud in the sky.

This latest musky story of mine is so important because it illustrates just how important it is to keep fishing no matter what personal projections can suggest about the current conditions of any given day. Its simple, if you have an opportunity to go fishing-GO! Do not be led by a weather person from your couch like many anglers are.
