JOSH STEVENSON
43" MUSKY

This one was very special to me. I caught this fish during the first musky tournament I have ever participated in.

My long-time friend Phil Meers and I decided to fish this tournament because the proceeds go to stocking more muskies in the metro.

The Metro Muskie Tournament was held at 16 different lakes in the metro. Figuring that most lakes would be full of anglers, we decided to fish the St. Croix River, which was the only river on the list.

Although the St. Croix was loaded with pleasure boaters and was five feet higher than usual, Phil and I still managed to to find one nice musky. It was a 43" muskie that did not have a fully grown tail.

Knowing that the weather and water conditions were tough, we figured we had a small chance of placing in the tournament. We were both very ecstatic to learn that we made it to 7th place!
